Todos Con Amor.
In Bolivia, 64% of the population live below the poverty line. Pedal it Forward spotlights communitarian Freddy Candia, a man passionately determined to break down the cycle of poverty, pollution and inequalities through repurposed, pedal powered bicimaquinas. In the sphere of renewable energy Freddy Candia is the absolute changemaker.
To be a changemaker means laser vision, raw courage and compassion focusing on what exists to man, not only to be realized but to be sustainable. Freddy is considered by many to be the Bolivian MacGyver. He can build anything: pedal-powered blenders and ice cream makers, cargo bikes, soap machines, corn-degrainers even pedal powered bici-machines generating enough heat for hot showers.
Social unrest is part of everyday life for South America's most impoverished country from Femicide to Water Wars. Bolivians are getting more conscious of climate change but do not understand how they are suffering from climate change. CECAM innovations are designed to support under-resourced communities especially in rural countryside areas in and out of Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Pedal it Forward exemplifies Todos Con Amor in Freddy's commitment to aid because he is giving the people a product delivered with love.
